Fantasy Book Lane’s Top Fantasy & SciFi Books of 2015

It’s that time again! I present to you my top picks for 2015 in fantasy and scifi indie titles. These three books received full 5 star ratings from yours truly, Erica Lane. Check them out!

sirensbaneSirensbane

Rob May

Genre: Fantasy with Pirates!

I’ll freely admit that I’m a Kal Moonheart fangirl. She’s feisty and awesome and always up to some adventure. This series just gets better as it goes along. In this installment, Kal finds herself on an island full of zombies. It’s up to her to determine the true nature of the curse that has befallen the islanders and put it right before she falls victim herself. It’s a high seas adventure not to be missed.

slave to magicA Slave to Magic

Lana Axe

Genre: Epic Fantasy

In this book, a young human slave joins forces with a feline companion to learn magic and put an end to slavery once and for all. Cat people? Yes! Lots of magic? Uh-huh! Fast-paced and fun YA fantasy? Got that too! There’s plenty here to love as Kwil embarks on his quest to learn magic alongside Nera, his feline lady companion. Finally a fantasy story where a male and female work together without falling for each other. Oh, and did I mention cats? Cats!! Magical cats!

robin hood wolf's headRobin Hood: Wolf’s Head

Eric Tanafon

Genre: Historical Fiction/Paranormal

As a fan of all things Robin Hood, I was delighted with this new set of tales. With top-notch writing and an excellent cast of characters, this is a book not to be missed. This is a one of those books to keep on hand and return to whenever one needs a dose of Robin Hood awesomeness. Don’t worry, the werewolf angle isn’t awkward, and it certainly doesn’t detract from the spirit of the old legends. Trust me, you’re going to love it.
